NBC Seafood
Solid round of dim sum at NBC Seafood with Sue, Ophelia, Christine, and Nick. Nothing spectacular, but as befits one of the most consistently popular dim sum restaurants around, almost everything was solid, from the pork blood to the har gow to the wu gok to the lo bac guo to the ngau paak yip. Not everything is great of course, with the har cheung fun and the deep fried shrimp ball being particularly middling, but that's okay. I would definitely skip the deep fried sardines, tho.
Board games after, with a round of Dune: Imperium taking up most of the afternoon before 4M came over. Had a close finish in Dune: Imperium (Ophelia juuust pulled off the win), then had Fiorelli Pizza delivered for dinner. The kale and sausage was a serious meh, but the pepperoni was solid (even a tad spicy, thankfully the kids did not complain) with a nice thin-but-not-too-thin crust. Sizing, they are 12 inch pizzas, so a bit big for one person of average appetite, yet a bit too small to share. Three plus an ample amount of leftover dim sum fed five adults and two kids with just a few leftovers. The spicy cucumber/yogurt thing was kind of weird, would skip that in the future. And of course, a Happy Belated Birthday to Matt!
