Kentucky
Wrapping up my first extended time in a Kia EV6 before heading off to Kentucky for the National Corvette Museum's Corvette Experience. The Kia EV6 is surprisingly good overall; some really weird/bad angles, especially at the rear, and the interior touch screens have just a bit too much complexity. Kia's steering wheel is still pretty ugly as well. However the overall style is pretty good, and like most cars, once you setup everything inside the way you want, the ICE (in-car entertainment) complexity isn't something you have to futz with too often. The rear hatch area is nice and spacious, and 800V battery architecture means charging is pretty awesome, a notable improvement especially when the battery is nearly full.
Used EVgo's DC fast chargers at UCLA because they were not only available, they were also not broken (!). Then a quick jaunt to the airport to return the car, the obligatory series of uneventful flights via Houston to Nashville, and the just over an hour drive to Bowling Green. Stopped at Cook Out on the way for a late dinner, kept it small because I am old. The double burger "tray" was literally just the double burger and nothing else, no fries or anything. Sigh. Felt kind of ripped off actually.
