Maybe Belgium isn't very popular in mid-April, but it at least made for a day of pleasant flying. Breakfast buffet at the United Polaris Lounge at LAX was pretty good, while the dining room selection was pretty meh. Had just enough time in Chicago to try the Polaris Lounge there. Despite being bigger, it was much busier and less pleasant of an experience, with a much less tasty buffet. Still, was good to say I'd tried it?
The second 787 of the day was less busy than the first one, and United did a surprisingly decent job with the food at least. Salmon was not overcooked, and the scotch pours were generous for the redeye to BRU.
