Luxembourg
With summer rapidly coming to a close, decided to visit one more new country before the quarter ended: Luxembourg. It's actually a decently large country at ~1,000 square miles/~2,600 square kilometers, and two nights/one day was woefully short to see anything other than Luxemnbourg City itself.
Still felt like it was worth the effort, especially given the opportunity to make my return dovetail with a special flight. Vice President of Flight Operations/Captain Marc Champion at United Airlines had his retirement flight scheduled during my trip, and with some shuffling, I was able to be on his final flight with United.
Day 2: arrival in London, layover, flying to Munich, layover, and finally, arrival in Luxembourg.
Day 3: food tour of Luxembourg city, then exploring the city some more.
Day 4: last-minute flight cancellations made getting back to London a bit of an adventure, complete with one new airline and one new airport for me.
Day 4, part 2: Captain Champion's retirement flight with United Airlines, operating United 935 from London to Los Angeles.
