Utah: August 2020
Other tourists had talked up Sunglow Cafe, so we skipped Wild Rabbit Cafe and went to Sunglow Cafe instead. Ended up with easily the worst meal of the trip, with pies literally made from ingredients straight off the Sysco truck. Claimed flavors versus the actual flavors of straight up granulated sugar, cream seemingly poured straight from the box, and imitation banana flavoring straight from the bottle. Even the indifferent burger couldn't salvage the restaurant or the surly attitude from the server there.
The detour through Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument was worth every minute, although we apparently missed a turnout to a slot canyon early on. Clearly need to do more research the next time...
Arrived early enough that we were still able to head to Bryce Canyon by late afternoon. After a week of wonderous sights, the question "could there be anything impressive left to see in Utah?" was answered by Bryce Canyon National Park with a resounding yes.
