New York 2013
Off to Battery Park for Shake Shack, where Pearl and I caught one of her cousins, plus my friend Maria. Nom'ed away in a surprisingly modern, new area of Manhattan, then strolled through Ground Zero and by Freedom Tower on the way back to the Financial District.
All too quickly, time to say goodbye to everyone in New York-- headed off to JFK in our hotel's surprisingly pimp SUV (rollin' on 21"s!), where Terminal 7 was surprisingly decent and the United premium service 757 was quite nice-- well, about as nice as a 21 year old airplane can be. Can't wait til that gets replaced by shiny new 737 or 787, hopefully sooner rather than later!
Fairly smooth, boring flight back to LAX, where Simon met us (thanks Simon!)... and then off to a late dinner at Tea Station for lots and lots of won tons and milk tea, plus met up with Matt, Michelle, Sue, and Ophelia for dessert!
Crazy, packed, super quick trip... but a lot of fun!
