Japan
Took today as a rest day, since six days of skiing in a row was going to be ambitious. Explored the little town of Yudanaka, which actually isn't all that small, with probably at least a half-dozen (if not more) hotels and ryokans, its own red light (aka green sign) district, and a decent smattering of restaurants.
Cafe Yamaboushi was a cute and tasty place for sukiyaki and oden, a bit odd in that you wore shoes inside, and was overall a solid meal, much more pleasant than D-LINE was for dinner. Not that D-LINE (which is more of an izakaya) is bad, but rather D-LINE suffered from the overly ambitious menu of most restaurants in Yudanaka, and as a result our meal took over 1.5 hours (!) to fully arrive. Ouch.W Would have been better off going to Lawson for packaged food...
