Liu's Cafe
Liu's Cafe in Westwood is still in soft opening/limited hours, was happy to make it in before they closed this afternoon. Have to say I liked the food at the Westwood location more than the original location in Koreatown, although that could just be an incorrect memory/off day. The chicken rice, which seemed kind of bland in k-town, was pretty tasty here, and the Hong Kong style french toast is a decade, cream-filled deep fried piece. The Kaya toasts are simple and tasty, although maybe not a great reason to come on their own. Top it off with some Hong Kong style milk tea (amazingly not overly sweet) and it's very much a carb-heavy, kind of sugary meal.
