Fresh off the plane from Japan, home to swap clothes, then off to Bakersfield for Stephanie and Scott's wedding at Gardens by Monji.

For a pair of serious Disney fans, they managed a perfect balance of fairytale touches and Disney themes without being overbearing, with the curated setting at Gardens by Monji done up in colored lights and taking full advantage of the wood and stone for their wedding ceremony. And while I'd met a bunch of Scott's side of the family before, it was still great to see everyone again.

Plenty of photos as well as the signing of the marriage license after the ceremony, then into the reception room for the arrival of the bride and groom. Open seating worked out well, the kids got a dedicated play table stocked with things to do, and dinner was highlighted by tri-tip served up with skill by one of Stephanie and Scott's favorite restaurants. Speeches were kept to a minimum, with the best man and maid of honor both getting their turn.

The night wrapped up with brightly lit sparklers as the guests lined up to see the newlyweds off-- quite a fun way to end the night. Congrats, Stephanie and Scott!
