Adelaide
Been to Australia more than I expected the past few years, and have visited a few cities in Australia more than I expected, and other cities less (or not at all!). Definitely did not have Adelaide in my plans, especially as I had yet to go to Perth, Darwin, or Gold Coast. But when United announced brand-new service from San Francisco to Adelaide, well, who was I to resist the inaugural flight?
Days 1/2: United's big inaugural flight for the very end of the year, San Francisco to Adelaide, including pre-flight festivities as well as onboard the 8,000+ mile journey from SFO-ADL.
Day 3: continued festivities on arrival in Adelaide, including the arrival party at the gate.
Day 4: day tour of the much-recommended Kangaroo Island (pro-tip: stay overnight. It's a very long day!).
Day 5: return to San Francisco was extra special given it was with the same crew as the inaugural flight two days ago.
