Hong Kong
Quick mileage run to Hong Kong for the weekened. United Airlines has sort of taken back some of the gates they leased to Alaska Airlines in Terminal 6 as of a few months (maybe even as long as a year?) ago so they can get another couple of widebody departures in, it seems like the LAX-HKG flights use them quite a bit-- have left out of Terminal 6 a few times now, it still feels a bit odd, although to be fair it is kinda cool to get a good view of Terminal 7 every time.
United's updated IFE with Flightpath 3D software and the Control Tower view is spreading as well, very nifty, even if the aircraft positioning for the flight you are on seems to get wonky after you leave the gate.
Seeing an American Airlines 777-300ER departing before us was nifty, and then the rest of the flight was pretty vanilla. United's catering in Polaris for the chicken, mushrooms, and rice dish is at least safe?
