Final morning in Columbus meant it was time to try the rest of the breakfast options at Soul at The Joseph. Overnight oats were rice with banana and peanut butter, might have been a fine meal on itself, but was too rich for me this morning. Avocado toast still isn't my thing, and the chicken sausage was small and disappointing. Still, I could imagine doing overnight oats here and being satisified on a different morning?
Hastened down to Dirty Frank's for a fancy yet diminutive hot dog before leaving Columbus. Maybe diminutive hot dogs are a thing here, given last night's disappointment? Dirty Frank's still holds up as well as it did on the visit with Erik, and this time, so soon after breakfast, a small snack was exactly what I wanted. Should have lingered at Dirty Frank's as the bus to Cleveland was more than 40 minutes late-- which was doubly annoying as the bus doesn't stop at the Greyhound station, it actually stops outside of it, so the crowd of would-be bus riders has wait in the heat.
At least the bus is nice enough inside, and it took the expected amount of time to get from Columbus to Cleveland, even including a few scheduled stops on the way (Amish country as well as Akron). Downtown Cleveland's Greyhound station is a faded shadow of its former glory, but it at least has A/C and working bathrooms?
Was great to see Erik and his family the rest of the trip. Elayne is getting big, Ty still loves to bark, and Korean food for dinner at Seoul Garden was a very nice change from all the American food so far. Their usual board game friends came over; Who We Should Eat was a rather good semi-cooperative board game that was much better on the second play-through.
