While Hatchet Hall has lost their Michelin star (since their chef went to Dunsmoor), the breakfast is still pretty solid. Solomon enjoyed his pork belly, and the fried chicken was delicious-- although I was oddly thirsty the entire afternoon after, which made me wonder if they use MSG or I'm allergic to something? The biscuits are also pretty amazing-- worth the calories!
Pho Hoan Pasteur in Gardena for dinner is more utility than anything else, very typical of South Bay strip mall pho. However, their beef rib is pretty good in quality, with the rare combination of meat that can be peeled off the bone (in and of itself not too laudable) but that still retains a good texture and taste (which is very laudable).
