H&H Brazilian Steakhouse
Lodge Bread has a basic but oddly perfect patio given their location, the ovens smell heavenly, and the croissants are massive. However, made a mistake and got the pizza instead, which was best described as pretty average vs. their competitors, and somewhat more harshly, completely forgettable.
Dinner that night was at another place I'd been meaning to go to, H&H Brazilian Steakhouse. Doug likes all-you-can-eat so much he even grabbed gift cards from them a few days earlier so we could save a few bucks, aka exactly the kind of friend you want to have for AYCE outings like this.
Inside, the vibe is a bit brighter than Fogo de Chao, and a bit less formal than M Grill. Not sure I have a preference either way. The salad bar is good but notably else well-stocked than Fogo de Chao, and both the chicken hearts and the grilled pineapple are significantly inferior to M Grill. Picanaha is pretty good but not the star of the show (unlike Fogo de Chao); but comparisons aside, they do an amazing job at the H&H house special New York strip, and a only slightly less excellent job with the ribeye. Leg of lamb, tri-tip, and garlic picanaha are very good as well.
Few other minor issues, the cheese breads are just a tad too crispy and a tad too large, and I did not see chimmichuri anywhere (perhaps you need to ask). Overall verdict is excellent, but with different strengths than their competitors; strongly suggest you go to wherever appeals most to your palate.
