Hong Kong
Pre-arrival meal was less successful than dinner... not sure why United always serves breakfast for the pre-arrival meal, but who knows? Captain Denton and his crew lead a mostly smooth ride and a graceful landing after a little over 15 and a half hours of flying in to Hong Kong, complete with one lap holding offshore, probably because we were so early?
The Hong Kong Express train, then a quick MTR ride from Hong Kong Station to Central to Tsim Sha Tsui, is always fun, and much easier than navigating some other train systems (or at least less stressful?). With the Sheraton Hong Kong Hotel and Towers renovated a little under three years ago, found it a pretty good property and a very good value for the money for a quick stay-- and hard to beat the location if you want a harbour view as well as the convenice of staying in Tsim Sha Tsui.
