Shanghai No1 Seafood
Been many years since going to Shanghai No1 Seafood for dim sum, and honestly felt like they hadn't changed a bit. Food came out (mostly) very quickly, the shu mai was a bit overpowered by the decorative fish roe, and the har cheung fun noodles were too thick. Ngau paak yip (steamed beef tripe) was done in a different style, with XO sauce, but was still pretty decent. Overall verdict was quite passable, but with a somewhat less elaborate menu than their competitors, it's hard to say this place stands out.
ici Tea Drinks after was unexpectedly excellent, drawing rave reviews from everyone. Boba was right balance of soft and chewy, and milk tea quality was good.
Saw a random riced out Honda Accord with some awful fake exhaust tips on the way home, then board games was one long but solid session of Dune: Imperium. Doesn't feel like I am getting the hang of it, but my scores are pretty competitive now so maybe I am? Harmonies was the next game, basically a medium complexity wildlife placement game? Early verdict is fun but needs more playing time.
