March 2025: Days 4 and 5

Leftovers for dinner, plus fresh deep fried lumpia and deep fried basil.

Spent a day working instead of on the slopes, but came out to help Chris grill zucchini, eggplant, potatoes, pork chops, and bacon-wrapped filet mignon for dinner. Rare case where the pork chops were tastier than the beef.

Back to the mountain the next day, had some superb snow down Cornice and Scotty's, ran into more Marines from the nearby Marine Corps Mountain Warfare Training Center also honing their skills. Actually had great snow both off Face Lift (chair 3) and High Five Express (Chair 5) this trip, for so late in the season, the snow almost everywhere was quite good if you caught it at the right time of day.

Mostly leftovers for dinner, although Chris pulled out the deep fryer so he could fry up some lumpia as well as some basil. Had a lot more grumbling from a certain child who was refusing to eat his vegetables (yet ate something like six lumpia!), but that did validate that deep frying everything makes it good!
