Quick visit to Washington, DC. Managed to find a United flight with an international business class configured widebody and a reasonable upgrade price.
Was good to catch up with family over cheap Chinese delivery from Peter Chang's, a local not-quite-hole-in-the-wall, a trip to see the pandas at the Smithsonian National Zoo, cheap giant pizza slices from Duccini's, and then both family and friends at the F1 Arcade. The last was a cool place, although a bit loud, and would be a tad pricey if you made it a regular hangout.
Some other random bits as well, from St. Patrick's Day the day before, and brunch at Republique the morning I got back. The kimchi and beef brisket fried rice was pretty good, although not sure it's (nor the French toast) enough of a draw to bring me back.
