626 fooding
Impromptu extended stay in 626 meant lots more fooding to do. After a night at a very bog-standard SpringHill Suites in Corona with a very friendly staff (and a surprising amount of Marriott elites), ended up at Eat Joy Food in Rowland Heights for lunch. Their famed three-cup dishes are well known, and the pork intestine was pretty good. Not sure it actually lives up to the hype, but if you are already in the area, it's a good meal.
Hide Out Cafe and Eat Joy Food are two of many very popular and tasty restaurants in Pearl Plaza... Hide Out Cafe's milk tea was worth the stop as well, even if I couldn't finish-- too much food! Soft and chewy boba as well, definitely quality.
Dinner many hours later was smashburgers at Palms n' Patties. As someone who is not a fan of smashburgers in general, these were well done-- very thin, meat even crispy/crumbly at the edges? The beef tallow-cookied fries also stayed hot and crispy forever. Overall, I can see why smashburgers have their fans?
