Yosemite
The day's hikes were to Bridalveil Fall and Swinging Bridge. The parking situation at Bridalveil Fall was stupid-- plenty of spaces, but people kept stopping as soon as they saw a space, so a massive line of cars would back up in the parking lot while further down there'd be sad, lonely, empty spaces. Still a great, quick little hike, tho. Meanwhile a bit down the road, Swinging Bridge did not swing, but was still some nice views of the valley.
Originally planned to head down to Mirror Lake, but the overcast weather in the morning turned into rain, so decided to head back to Yosemite Valley Lodge for another mediocre meal. By the time the sun came out, was too late to go on a real hike, so instead stayed in til it was time to try to see the Firefall again. Only this afternoon/evening, despite seemingly perfect conditions over Yosemite Valley itself, we got exactly zero sunset and hence no firefall. Alas (at least we tried?).
