Pine Tree Korean BBQ
Mike got his wish and confirmed that the new Pine Tree Korean BBQ location is just like the old one, Jason got his wish with cigars and roped in some company, we discovered that Klondike ice cream sandwiches have shrunk since I last looked, and Albert made a rare appearance after-hours.
Pine Tree Korean BBQ has a pretty decent brisket and very acceptable marinated galbi, so-so beef tongue and ban chan, and the ribeyes are typical all you can eat (AYCE kbbq): thin to cook fast, not exciting, but do the job. Still beats traffic to Koreatown on days you're just not feeling it, and while the Rite-Aid across the street had temporarily closed their ice cream stand, Mike still found his dessert.
Brunch at Lazy Daisy the next day was actually pretty good, not sure if I like the Mar Vista location better or if it's just been a long time since I've had a decent Belgian waffle.
