Colombia
Positioning for tomorrow's inaugural flight on United from Houston to Medellin, Colombia... but first, had to go in to the office. Was pleasantly surprised by a big box of Sidecar Doughnuts in the office, apparently Mike's request that Joe decided to fill. Who needs to watch calories before Thanksgiving??
Then off to LAX, caught a nice bit of sunset with several Delta aircraft taking off and landing. A Delta A350 taking off and a Delta A321 landing were the highlights before I got to the terminal and the United Club within. The chicken-mozzarella-pesto flatbread looked very plain but was actually pretty tasty, and then a quick flight to Houston.
The Houston Intercontinental Airport Marriott isn't much, but it's technically in-terminal by some annoyingly poorly marked underground walkways, and has some appropriately aviation-themed art to sprue things up. The rooms aren't the greatest, but the views can be acceptable, and you can make up for the lack of a proper desk with the couch and table.
