Indonesia
Decided to stretch a mileage run out so I could actually visit a new country too-- but due to the vagaries of the available flights and whatnot, ended up a tad longer than planned of a trip.
Did the usual haul to Singapore aboard United flight 29 to Singapore, then an overnight layover in Singapore. Probably could have skipped this (like I did for Cambodia a few weeks ago), but this way I at least got to check out the Crowne Plaza at Changi Airport and get in a decent meal at the Staff Canteen in Terminal 2. The Crowne Plaza's rooms are massive, the location is great, just sadly they are not particularly cheap, and as they are IHG there's no useful status benefits for me. And with an evening arrival not much is open at the Staff Canteens, so while I was still able to find tasty noms, not sure how optimal this approach to layovers is.
