Otium
The final week of Otium.... finally made it, and as an added bonus, got to see Wally and Lisa as well!
The patio is nice enough, with an oven (?!) in one corner, the bar is amazing (at least for photographs), and the building clearly is... architectural. Cocktails are pricey but creative, and the wine list is quality-- Wally and Lisa approved.
Food was pretty good. Roasted cauliflower was enjoyable but honestly is still just cauliflower. The naan was superb, the bread good but a step behind, and Lisa was a big fan of the chicken liver mousse. Little gem salad was tasty but probably a tad too heavy on the dressing, and the salmon tartare, while excellent, was basically a deconstructed hand roll. Both pastas, street corn agnolotti and spinach buccatini, were delicious but very rich.
Whole grilled branzino was excellent, much better than Cassia's current take on it, and we did lime sorbet with fruit for dessert, which was a great end to the meal. Very enjoyable and would not mind going back (but sadly cannot as they are closed!).
