Ten BBQ
Meat at Ten BBQ was generally very good, but the kitchen was oddly quite slow at times-- and they were decidedly not busy this close to opening time on a Sunday evening. Tasty enough, especially the beef tongue and the marinated boneless galbi, but hard to say we'd make this a priority to go back.
Upper Cafe (Cafe Upper?) right across the street had a nice parking lot shared with Yerim Kbbq and a vibe that I felt distinctly too old for (or the rest of the crowd was just young!), their patbingsu (Korean shaved ice) is the thing to get. We skipped that tho in favor of what seemed to be a stale sweet potato filled donut and a lemon cake that was quite dense. However, the donut grew on you the more you ate it, so maybe it's just a style of dessert we're not too used to?
Down to the Residence Inn La Jolla that night, it hadn't changed much since the last visit.
