Perils of working remotely meant less beach and pool time than we would have liked, but working with a beach view sure beats being stuck in the office!
Breakfast buffet isn't bad, the pool closest to the center of the hotel (Limin) is beautifully done if you don't mind the families running around, and the adults-only pool to the south is nice and quiet. In fact this being low season actually made it a great time to go, given our goal was to relax. We did have some wind and clouds due to Hurricane Beryl passing a few hundred miles south of us, but the worst of it lasted less than a full day-- got soaked for lunch on Monday but not bad otherwise.
Kastawey, the restaurant/bar serving the adults-only pool, is best described as overpriced/edible Japanese food, while On The Deck, the centrally located semi-pool-side bar and restaurant, does a pretty damned good burger and ceviche. Tuna, snapper, and mahi mahi seem to be the usual fish here, and they generally were fresh and tasty.
