Not the most airy or best structure inside, but the dough was practically oozing with butter.

Pain au chocolat has 3 layvers of chocolate inside-- quite a lot.

Didn't get a good look at the bumper but wondering why this BMW X1 is so camo'ed... maybe a X1 M or something?

Clemence de Lutz and Tony Hernandez do an extremely buttery croissant at their new bakery in Santa Monica, Petitgrain Boulangerie. Almost so buttery I say it lacks some of the airy structure of the very best. The pain au chcolat has a good about of chocolate too, but again, to me at least, this place feels a tiny bit off from the very best. That still doesn't prevent them from selling out crazy fast though, better get here before 10:00am, before 9:30am is better.

UAW, the union representing the teaching assistants, decided to protest later that day. Got a front-row seat (again).

Wrapping up this photo dump with an unexpected BMW prototype sighting the next day. BMW 2-series gran coupe and a BMW X1, the former looked ordinary enough for a new generation, while the BMW X1 is already released, so seeing one still in camo was a bit surprising. Maybe a higher trim level, even an X1 M, but I couldn't get a good look at the wheels/brakes or exhaust, so that is purely speculation.
