Brisbane
While my first visit to Brisbane a few years ago was sort of a lark to cross off one more major city in Australia, I never thought I'd visit a second time-- let alone this (third!) time before repeat visiting any other city in Australia.
That said, I have only myself to blame for not putting in more effort to go back to Melbourne or Sydney, or to make a visit to Perth or somewhere else. Visiting Brisbane apparently has just gotten too convenient with all these new non-stop flights?
Day 1: onboard the inaugural flight United Airlines 283, non-stop service from LAX to Brisbane (BNE). Not the biggest deal but still a bigger celebration than the pathentic one to Auckland a month ago.
Day 2: morning arrival in Brisbane and wandering unseasonably hot and rainy city.
Day 3: Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary for the local wildlife, including koalas and kangaroos, plus more wandering the south bank of the Brisbane River.
Day 4: enjoying all the Christmas spirit on the flight back to Los Angeles.
