Days 0 and 1: Flying
Day 2: Marina Bay
Day 3: Fooding
Day 4: Return
Singapore
Headed to the airport a little early to check out all the holiday decorations at Terminals 2 and 3, do a quick pass through Jewel Changi on the tram that passes through its center, and to see the show on the brand-new "Wonderfall" digital waterfall (14 meter high, 17 meter wide) screen right inside Terminal 2.
Spent far too much time enjoying the elaborate decorations before crossing into the post-security area, where the Straits Food Court on the upper floor of Terminal 2 feels decidedly ordinary compared to the spectacle that is Jewel Changi or even the (much smaller) Wonderfall. Seafood chow fun was passable but still better than the chicken and fried rice that United served in Premium Plus (premium economy), which is where I was stuck again after being the first loser on the upgrade list (again).
The return flight home was a good two hours shorter than the flight there, and aside from a rude seatmate, it was a pleasant enough end to the holiday weekend and back to reality.
