Unexpected fooding opportunity in Santa Monica. Bagelworks Cafe is decidedly pedestrian at best, but the staff are friendly and they're a solid local business.

A few blocks away, Katsu Sando wasn't quite the ridiculous, Instagram-worthy art that the very best are. And the yubu pockets, while tasty and huge, are a lot of rice under the toppings. Was fun to say I'd finally had a katsu sandwich, but wasn't exactly tasty enough to say I'd grab another one anytime soon.

Finally, some fun airplanes landing through the fog and low clouds at LAX. Some great timing with a United 737-900ER, not quite as good with an Alaska Air 737-800 a few minutes later.
