Oo-Kook
Usual afternoon of board games and Versailles. The house special garlic chicken is generally consistent and one of the better options.
Hadn't played Terraforming Mars in a long time, got destroyed by Sue (as usual). Funko Games' Disney Animated was kind of fun too even if I was a bit dubious as to the mechanics, might need another session to chew on it a bit more. You at least don't need to know anything about the movies involved, but the differences in the character tokens (some movies get one token to pass around, others get as many as seven) and stuff was a bit much to keep track of on the first play-through, as it's a cooperative game and you should know every other players' win conditions.
Caught Doug for dinner at Oo-Kook, formerly one of the top all you can eat Korean BBQ joints. They have kept their prices more or less the same so they're still a good value, and the beef tongue was delicious this visit. However in the age of inflation it seems like they've cut back on the quality of a few other meats, and the interior definitely feels worn if you get seated upstairs (downstairs is still pretty nice). t'was fun to catch up and make a long-overdue visit to AYCE kbbq.
