Lunch with the Yang family at Daeho Kalbijjim in San Mateo. Yukhoe (seasoned raw beef) was really good, and a perfect opener to the main course of kalbijjim! They also add turnip to the kalbi jim, unlike Sun Nong Dan in Los Angeles, which I think is just rice cakes and potato. (maybe you can add at Sun Nong Dan? Might have to go back again to check!) Highly nomnomnom, and always good to catch up with Jennifer and Jeff.
Can't forget, had one more stop before parting ways with the Yangs. Meet Fresh for dessert was a nice stop even if they were a bit slow to bring our food out. A brief post-lunch walk was also nice, and showed just how food-focused San Mateo's downtown is. t'was a great way to cap off the trip before spending way too long sitting at the airport.
