Impromptu food outing to the brand-new DongTing Noodle House on Sawtelle. Pretty solid Hunan-style cuisine, although that meant most things were on the spicy side. #3 beef noodles with intestine and whatnot were good but not specifically memorable, pork dumpkings were ample and size and did the job. Pig ear and sliced braised beef were both good enough although the pig ear was the better of the two. Michelle said she would pass on the popcorn chicken, it was a large portion and was pretty good, but you can get good popcorn chicken lots of places. Interior was fairly modern in style and ordering was via app.

Verdict: solid addition to Sawtelle.

Dinner that night was Fogo de Chao's "Best of Brazil" deal, just $44/person ($39 in smaller metro areas). Baby (toddler!) Liam loved it, and was happy to eat everything! The lamb pichana in particular this visit, ZOMG so good.
