Angel City Games
Chauffering the Link family to the Angel City Games, where Carolanne took first place and set a personal record of 21.53 seconds in the women's 100 meter heat!
K-town for lunch at Surawon Tofu House, they still remain one of the best places in Los Angeles for soon dubu jjigae (soft tofu stew, sometimes translated as soon dobu or soon dubu or sun dubu), with their homemade organic black bean tofu. So good.
Separately, the Lai-Lu family arrived in the late afternoon, and along with Chris, we meandered over to Yangmani in ktown for some delicious Korean BBQ. Two combo sets, galbi, brisket, pork belly, and pork jowl, was perhaps a bit too much pork, but the brisket was simply superb. Added on spicy cold noodle and a super fluffy steamed egg for an excellent meal. They had two new things I had not seen elsewhere as well-- a beef tartare salad and a beef intestine ban chan. Highly noms for kbbq.
Tan-Cha for milk tea after, not that we needed more sugar, but why not? Plus they have valet parking in the back...
