June 2023: Day 7: Return

Frittata wasn't as gross as it usually is.

IFE was broken the entire flight. Ugh.

Jaye McAtee, the international purser, was great.

Reverse.

Buffet at United Polaris Lounge IAH.

Potato thing was horrible.

French toast was okay.

Scrambled eggs and more.

Impossible sausage, turkey sausage, and bacon.

Yogurt bar.

Snow-topped San Bernadino Mountains.

Early morning arrival meant United's traditionally mediocre frittata for breakfast. At least the Polaris Lounge at IAH was pleasantly empty so early in the morning, although even the breakfast buffet there had a few so-so items. Alicia might be able to report back on how the Polaris Dining Room's made-to-order was, but I had a short layver and didn't have time to linger. Ended up stuffed on an old 737-900ER for one last flight of the trip, and got to enjoy the still-snow-capped San Bernardino Mountains just before landing.

All in all a fun trip, and perhaps the least-time-intensive of the classic bucket list nature destinations to tick off.
