Thanks to all the snow this late in the season, skiing off Canyon Lodge and Eagle Lodge is still possible! Limited services at both as it's so late, but can't complain-- especially for the extra parking that having both of these lodges open provides. Even with two of the three lifts at Canyon Lodge closed for the season (including Canyon Express, which is getting a long-overdue overhaul to its inner workings), there's still enough snow off Chair 8 to provide easy access to the rest of the mountain as well as back to Canyon Lodge itself.

Brief encounter with Wooly at the top of Chair 8, some beautiful runs off Eagle Express, and enough snow that the fancy ski-in/ski-out condos at Eagle are still ski-in/ski-out right now.

Back to Canyon Lodge, saw some evidence of a fancy party I missed (obviously did not get invited to), then had to run back to the Westin to change rooms in preparation for the Chen-Wu family's arrival. The new two bedroom unit had some lovely views of the future site of the Limelight Hotel, plus had a random encounter with a realtor who was trying to show her clients the wrong condo (oops).

Unexpectedly legit Asian noodles for lunch at Noodle-ly next to Vons. Char shu was legit, as were the skinny rice noodles they used. Very pleased to have such good Asian food now in Mammoth-- even if not up to 626 standards, this is still far better than most other ethnic food up here.
