Mammoth: April 2023: Index

Mammoth

Rarely make it up to Mammoth for a whole week, so this was a rare treat. Add in a record 715 inches of snow this season and this late-season trip felt like not only a great idea, it was such a good time to go I extended it by three days.

Days 0 and 1 - some pre-trip photos the day before from Ophelia's birthday and Pearl's visit, then a very leisurely, definitely-range-concerned/charging-concerned, careful and slow drive up to Mammoth in a rented Chevy Bolt EUV.
Day 2 - trapped in the hotel, aka stuck working all day.
Day 3 - soaking in an advanced lesson to help my enjoyment of all the snow still on the slopes.
Day 4 - skiing at Canyon Lodge (in April!).
Day 5 - skiing plus dinner with the Chen-Wu family at Noodle-ly.
Day 6 - on the slopes plus walking in the snow.
Day 7 - Lucas' first ski lesson with Mammoth Mountain's ski school.
Day 8 - the gigantic pain in the butt that is third party charging networks for the drive back home.
