A brief stop in San Pedro mean an excuse to go back to The Chori-Man and Colossus Bread. Neither seems as good as the first visit, skipping the hotter/spicier version of the chorizo in favor of the more mild green one might have been a mistake. Mom and Dad liked the lentil soup, tho.
Colossus Bread's pastries also seemed lacking vs. the previous visit. Just not the same freshness, airness, or oomph in the regular croissant, pain au chcolat, or kougin amann. The glaze on the kougin amann in particular seemed just a bit to thick and hard/crispy as opposed to delicate.
Late afternoon stop by Yama Sushi and Sake for some take-out. Not the biggest fan of this place, but for what they charge the value is certainly there. And as an appetizer to more of Dad's delicious home cooking, it works!
