More talks, including one very useful one given by penguinologists describing life in the field... as someone who directly supports research, I actually hear far too little about life in the field, and it was quite interesting.
While last night's duck breast was surprisingly good, lunch today was pretty awful. The kebab might have been okay, but the paella was soggy.
Might have been some card games invovled after dinner as well, as some of the younger members of the trip learned just how experienced some* of the older ones were at solitare-based games. Wrapped things up early as things went from the 3 meter to 4 meter waves to something like 6 meter waves as the evening wore on. Not the worst but not exactly condusive to card games either; and to think, the Drake Passage regularly seems waves up to 15 meters (50 feet!).
* = uhhh me.
