Day 5: At sea

Breakfast spread.

French toast was okay.

Oatmeal, because I am old.

Did not get french toast again.

Piano on deck 8.

Well-stocked.

Big moving map in the library at the bow-- currently not far away from the Beagle Channel and Ushuaia.

Currently 62 ships operating in Antarctica (!).

Relatively mild waves in the Drake Passage.

Tonight's wine.

Spring roll was okay.

Lamb loin. Not bad.

Portions here are pretty reasonable in size.

Fewer birthdays on this trip than I expected.

Cheesecake for dessert. Not bad but definitely skippable.

Ice cream, like the cheesecake, not bad but skippable.

First full day aboard ship was marked not only by the scope of the buffet breakfast, but also decontamination procedures, rental gear exchanges, etc. (or did some of that happen the day before? I forget...)

Spent a bit of time exploring the ship, checking out the way cool electronic map in the library on deck 8, and suprisingly decent dinner of lamb loin after photographing the waves.
