Pickled spicy cucumber is okay.

Crispy bottom pot stickers were weird. Like the crispy bottom part was separate and the potstickers themselves were not actually crispy bottomed.

Green onion pancake not quite the right balance of crispy and chewy.

One of the xiao long bao was damaged. Still tasty tho.

Crab fried rice is okay. Well, better than okay. But not as good as Din Tai Fung.

Typical Lu family?

Xiao long bao, green onion pancake, crab fried rice, potstickers, and spicy pickled cucumbers at dan modern chinese cuisine on Sawtelle. The XLB were pretty good aside from one that got a little damaged, crab fried rice is undistinguished but still decent, crispy bottom potstickers were weird-- the circle of crispy stuff at the bottom from the pan was crispy, but the potsticker bottoms themselves weren't crispy at all?? Green onion pancake is meh, and the spicy pickled cucumbers did the job but aren't my favorite compared to the non-pickled ones at Din Tai Fung or most other places.

Honeymee after for dessert. Typical Honeyee experience, did the job, and yes, typical Lu family antics.
