Quacks of Quedlinburg is always fun, although the combination of spellbooks we had combined with the pumpkin six chip lead to a lot of very full pots of witches' brew.
The newly-released Wingspan Nesting Box with the Asia Expansion was tons of fun, and a welcome balance of new additions without bringing too much additional complexity to the game. Slight changes to the color schemes and boards are welcome changes, even if the over-dyed reddish eggs seem to be a bad idea. The new trays for food and eggs also bring a bit more of a premium feel, which is subtle but appreciated. Also, as the new Nesting Box holds the entire game-- Wingspan plus the European Expansion, Oceania Expansion, and the latest Asia Expansion - holy crap the Nesting Box still feels huge.
Dinner from Versailles is always solid. Garlic chicken is the classic, pork chop is close, the beef tongue isn't classic, but was a generous portion. Not the best dish on the menu, it was still decent; the slightly too salty sauce it came soaked in actually matched well when eaten with the rice and/or the plantains to cut the saltiness.
