Egg Tuck was alright. Egg breakfast sandwiches have potential, and the tater tots were quite good, but in end it didn't quite add up for me. Suspect the way to go might be to add ham or bacon to the egg sandwich, then to split the tater tots with friends (or have self control and eat only a half order!).
Impromptu dinner with coworkers at Hiko Sushi. They lack the high-end presence of some of their competitors, but the quality of fish is still a cut above average, especially the hotate (scallop). And unlike, say, heading to Sawtelle, which was a zoo, Hiko had space and parking.
Dinner the next day at the Mitsuwa food court after a second aborted attempt in a row to go to the always-a-wait Little Fatty down the street. Japanese rice bowl with beef and egg is definitely comfort food, as is the plain udon in broth that is combo #51.
