Singapore
Lau Pa Sat hawker centre for the first stop of the day, where the high ceilings and massive fans make it quite pleasant despite the heat. I think it was a ginger lemon (?) gelato at Birds of Paradise next with an even bigger group of Petuala's coworkers. Some may like sweets in the heat but gelato was a bit too sweet and sticky for me, although everyone else seemed to enjoy it. Then up to the Oasia Hotel downtown's 12th floor outdoor lobby to relax before a legit dinner at Ya Hua Bak Kut Teh. Having never had non-touristy bak kut teh before, Ya Hua Bak Kut Teh made me understand why some love it so much-- the real thing is so much more simple yet much more tasty than the inferior copies.
Tried to get cocktails at Marina Bay Sands, but they were way crowded. Found a solid backup plan at ION Orchard, actually the 56th floor ION Sky lounge, 1-Atico. Just make sure to bring a sweater as the A/C inside 1-Atico is set to frigid and the cocktails are clearly the highlight of the menu.
