May 2022: Day 2: Traelanipa

Almost got horribly screwed by the security lines at Copenhagen airport. FasTrack was closed and less than half the checkpoints were open = needed every bit of the 45+ minutes I gave myself to get through. o_0 Fortunately the flight was smooth, as was the arrival experience at Vagar Airport in the Faroes.

Straight from the airport to Traelanipa (Slave Cliffs) after I arrived. Glad this was a leisurely trip as there were actually four viewpoints (at least!) to check out, including the waterfall (Bosdalafossur) from the lake above the ocean (Sorvagsvatn). The hiking itself is quite easy, but make sure to throw in extra time for the sun to shine through the clouds if you can. Bosdalafossur itself is a bit buried in the rocks but is well worth the extra time if you can make it all the way down to the edge of Sorvagsvatn.

Then it was off to what little was open for restaurants on a Sunday evening in the Faroes (read: almost nothing, and it was not good) and then to the AirBnB located in Bour, which somehow managed to live up to the extraordinary (!) scenery that the listing promised.
