Delightful to finally have the non-stop from Los Angeles to London back (LAX-LHR), especially given all the weather-related delays that keep cropping up in the northeast lately. Also enabled me to do a long layover to see Sam and Parveen-- was great to catch up over sushi at Dinings near London Paddington.

One drawback of trying to fly United metal as much as possible was that a smooth connection to the Faroe Islands was tough. Ended up doing an overnight in Copenhagen to safeguard against any missed connections. The nearest Marriott to the airport, the AC Hotel Bella Sky, is a very stylish if rather dated building that's just far enough from the airport to be inconvenient, yet not far enough to complain about.
