Har cheung fun... so close. But not quite.

Pai gut were plain looking but not bad.

Same for the lo bac guo - plain but not too bad.

Har gow had right number of folds and skins almost clear enough but not quite.

Shu mai were on the fatter side but not too ridiculous.

$12 for this much galbi? Eeeesh beef has gotten expensive.

For lunch the vibe isn't bad, for dinner not so much.

Made up for the disappointment at NBC by trying a new place in k-town the next day. HKC Dim Sum. The pricing at HKC Dim Sum would have been downright painful except that they have a grand opening 50% off, which actually made them a damned good (if unsustainable) deal. Ordered the basics, which were all mostly average to very good, and have to say they're a welcome addition to the dim sum scene. Just hope they can find some sort of happy medium on pricing, because at the moment their full price is way too premium to justify, and their discount seems waaaay too cheap for them to stay in business.

Final meal of the weekend was dinner at Emily Grill. Soon tofu had too many veggies it, and the galbi portion was kind of small. Felt more like a fast casual lunch place than a dinner place? Don't want to knock it too much, maybe have to come back for lunch.
