Matt and Bekah
Engaged in a South Carolina tradition in the morning, helping Matt dig up the bourbon he buried a month ago in a field. Had a few false starts but we eventually found it! And throw in some of Matt's favorite activities, watching F1, before doing much of anything else.
Had a very pleasant wedding ceremony for Matt and Bekah at United Methodist Church. They've technically been married for two years, but since their original ceremony was a very small one right after the start of COVID-19, this was their big one with all the family and friends. The reception followed at the Old National Guard Armory, and again it was very nice to see everyone, especially Matt's dad, who I hadn't seen in years. Also might have risked exploding on the delicious shrimp and grits.
And of course, wrapped up the night with more drinking, this time at the hotel bar, where the bartender was nice enough to leave the bar open after they'd technically closed.
Congratulations, Matt and Bekah!
