Second trip of the season to Mammoth, second roadtrip in an EV: another Tesla Model 3 Dual Motor. Did a leisurely drive up, complete with making dinner coincide with the second charging stop. Sadly Holy Smoke BBQ in Bishop has gotten pretty mediocre, although it was nice to charge the car up to full and not have to worry about charging again til the return drive a few days later.

Looks like the Westin in Mammoth is just about 100% renovated, although quality of the remodel is definitely a bit lacking in a few areas. Hasn't seriously snowed since December but at least we got clear weather?? And Lucas is now on the slopes a second trip in a row, if he can build up some endurance he'll soon catch up to the adults-- right now he's maxing out at 3 runs a day, we gonna figure out some way to increase his stamina.

Going Superbowl weekend definitely has its advantages and disadvantages. The grocery store clearly got raided on Saturday night, Sunday the slopes weren't crowded at all? We also managed, for a second trip, to successfully eat all the food we'd brought, aka we didn't massively overprepare. Woohoo!

Finally, the last day of the trip, we got fresh snow. A piddling 2" may not be much, but it was delightful to get some fresh pow! Only catch was it was extremely cold, at a high of 23F and a low of 7F... brrrrrrrrrr. So it was with much reluctance that we packed up and left at lunchtime... only to find that more than 200 miles away, there was snow on the ground south of Palmdale. o_0
