Spotted after the Surf City Half Marathon.

Very rice, lots of garlic.

Karaage had a heavy breading, not a fan.

Mike and Allison after running 13.1 miles.

Hertz now gives a lot of paper to Model 3 renters.

Hyatt Regency Newport Beach is surprisingly ordinary given the $400/night price. Not worth it.

But the next morning reminded me that I do enjoy racing in person. Mike, Allison, AJ, plus Joe and Lulu, plus Freddie all made it out. AJ placed 3rd in age group with a 1:30:52-- go AJ!! Waaaay faster than his SSCERT uncle (2:17:32 for me...). Beach Cities Challenge medal for this year looked disappointing in pictures, but in person it wasn't too bad. After the race, filled up on some black garlic ramen at Ramain39... not the best ramen or karaage but hit the spot.
